A Passover Haggadah is a two-sided book that can be read from either the front or the back. The front of the book opens to commentary and essays on the seder, the ritual performed by Jews that includes the retelling of the Israelites’ freedom from Egyptian slavery. If entered from the back cover, the book begins with the Haggadah, the traditional text that is recited at the Passover seder. We designed the covers to represent day on the front and night on the back. They feature hand-drawn Hebrew words that read, "Go Forth and Learn," the book's sub-title. The interior illustrations and layout were also designed by MGD. Our Israeli partner, El Ot, was responsible for the page composition and typesetting.
