Jingle All The Way!
To that end, we posed a challenge to the creative team this past December: design a Christmas Playlist puzzle for all to enjoy. We each selected our favorite better-known songs and found visual ways to hint at their titles. The goal was to engage our users in a spirited game that would not only test their interpretive skills but also get them into the holiday spirit. To be a winner, all you had to do was name that tune!
Social media seemed the perfect platform to share our message while reaching the largest audience. We chose Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We also liked that our clients, friends, and fans could interact with our game in real time. That was far more exciting than sending a card and not being able to see their reaction.
Beginning on Christmas Eve and throughout Christmas Day, we launched each of the eight puzzles, one by one. We received great guesses, supportive comments, and a few hysterically funny interpretations. The best payoff was the text messages and emails from people who thanked us for keeping them entertained during the holidays. We also loved hearing from the more competitive puzzle mavens who, apparently, ranked our work on a scale of 1-5 (5 being the most difficult). Only one puzzle stumped our audience and ranked a 5.
